Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR Business Partner to align human resources initiatives with organizational objectives. In this role, you will collaborate with leadership to drive performance, support change management, and enhance employee engagement. You will serve as a trusted advisor on a wide range of HR matters including talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning, and leadership development.

This role plays a key part in coaching managers, guiding performance and disciplinary processes, and fostering a positive, productive workplace culture. By analyzing HR metrics and identifying trends, you’ll help develop effective programs and policies that support both people and business success.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with business goals and drive organizational success.

 

  • Act as a change agent, leading process design and improvements to support transformation and move processes to best practice standards.

 

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to people managers on performance management, career development, and disciplinary actions.

 

  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop data-driven solutions, programs, and policies.

 

  • Educate, coach, and collaborate with managers on performance management and employee development goals.

 

  • Ensure consistency and equity in the disciplinary process across the organization.

 

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees in areas including feedback, employee relations, development, and coaching.

 

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, escalating complex matters to the VP of HR when necessary.

 

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, morale, and retention, leading to increased productivity.

 

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation to ensure compliance and best practice implementation.

 

  • Offer guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning efforts.

 

  • Identify training needs for business units and individual employees, including executive coaching opportunities, working in partnership with the VP of HR and Talent Development.

 

  • Participate in evaluating and monitoring action plans and training initiatives to ensure success and meet training objectives.

 

  • Partner with the VP of HR and leadership to grow the organization’s key talent, focusing on high-potential identification and development programming.

 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Excellent project & time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software; ADP a plus

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in an HR Business Partner role preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM or PHR Certification preferred. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Physical requirements:  normal office environment, ability to sit, stand and operation office equipment.
  • Travel requirements:  Some travel may be required. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is: $70,000 – 120,000.

 

Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate’s primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
