Summary:

This is a hybrid position located in Champaign, Illinois. 

The Director of Policy, Grant Opportunities, and Engagement will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and applying for federal, state, and local grant opportunities, including ,but not limited to, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and Infrastructure Reduction Act (IRA). This individual will identify existing and new opportunities for grant funding, develop the application and track submission and award decision process. The Director will also be responsible for the relationship management and engagement with government officials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a network of key grant stakeholders including key agencies, legal contacts and lobbyist groups.
  • Identify opportunities and assess the probability of success, along with resourcing required to optimize success.
  • Coordinate and lead application processes for applicable grant opportunities.
  • Serve as liaison between Pavlov Media and key government stakeholders and policy makers, to increase likelihood of success.
  • Inform the Pavlov Management Team on the status of applications and any key risks/opportunities.
  • Stay informed on any new awards or key changes in existing programs.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with project management, managing a grant writing program, and federal grant funding processes preferred.
  • Prior significant experience in government affairs, with interactions with key governmental stakeholders
  • Familiarity with the BEAD program or other relevant grant programs in the Digital Communications, Telecom sectors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
