Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior HR Generalist who is highly organized, proactive, and committed to excellence. This person will thrive on keeping things running smoothly, being the solution, with an innate ability to multitask. This position will be onsite in Champaign, Illinois, with the option to work remotely one day per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical T&D & Reporting: Manage the Learning Management System (LMS). Track all compliance training (OSHA, Harassment, and Technical Certifications). Build automated monthly “People Dashboards” for the VP and CEO.
- Talent Acquisition: Own full-cycle recruitment; manage the ATS (Applicant Tracking System) and coordinate a seamless onboarding experience that reflects Pavlov’s culture initiatives.
- Compliance & Audit: Lead the “technical lens” on HR audits (I-9s, FLSA classifications, EEO-1 reporting).

Operational Support:
Success & Performance Impact: A successful candidate will be evaluated on their ability to evolve HR operations and drive the following outcomes within the first 6–12 months:
- Operational Efficiency: Successfully “buy back” 20% of the strategic leadership’s capacity by assuming full ownership of technical reporting, LMS administration, and recruitment logistics.
- Data Integrity & Readiness: Maintain a 100% “Audit-Ready” status for all compliance files (I-9, FLSA, EEO-1) and ensure zero-lag reporting for training and certification tracking.
- Talent Experience: Optimize the onboarding lifecycle to ensure 100% of new hires reach “cultural alignment” and full administrative setup within their first 30 days, as measured by new-hire satisfaction scores.
- Technical Stewardship: Successful transition from manual tracking to automated systems for at least two core HR processes (e.g., Performance Management tracking or Onboarding workflows).
- Reporting Excellence: Production of a monthly “People Operations Dashboard” that provides the VP and CEO with actionable insights into turnover, time-to-hire, and T&D ROI.

Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced Data Analytics: Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Visualization) with the ability to translate raw data into executive-level dashboards.
- HRIS/LMS/ATS Administration: Power-user capability in managing HR software ecosystems; ability to troubleshoot workflows and optimize system configurations.
Core Professional Competencies:
- Strategic Prioritization: Exceptional ability to manage high-volume transactional work (recruiting/reporting) alongside complex, long-term projects.
- Process Engineering: A mindset focused on automation; the ability to identify manual bottlenecks and implement scalable digital solutions.
- Communication & Influence: Sophisticated verbal and written communication skills suitable for interacting with both front-line blue-collar staff and C-Suite executives.
- Agility & Change Management: Ability to maintain operational stability during organizational shifts and adapt quickly to changing business priorities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
- Systems: 3+ years of experience managing an integrated HRIS (ADP Workforce Now experience is a significant plus).
- Technical Tools: ADP proficiency, advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, specifically Excel
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred
Physical Requirements:

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is: $65,000 – $85,000 DOQ
Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate’s primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.
