The Director of Network Operations leads Pavlov Media’s team of dedicated network, monitoring, and backbone professionals in ensuring the continuous operation, stability, and security of our network infrastructure. This individual is responsible for overseeing all aspects of network monitoring, incident response, and escalation procedures to maintain the highest levels of service uptime and reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans, objectives, and initiatives for the NOC in alignment with the organization’s Objective Key Results (OKRs)
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of NOC Managers, Engineers, and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Network Monitoring and Management: Oversee the maintenance of network monitoring tools and systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact service delivery.
  • Incident Management: Develop and maintain comprehensive incident response procedures, ensuring timely and effective resolution of network incidents and outages while minimizing service disruptions.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously assess network performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing optimizations and improvements to enhance network efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the timely resolution of network-related issues
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate network security risks and vulnerabilities, implementing robust security measures and protocols to safeguard critical infrastructure and data assets.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and incident reports, as well as prepare regular reports and presentations for executive stakeholders on network performance, uptime, and compliance.
  • Budgeting and Resource Planning: Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting resource requirements, and allocating funds for equipment purchases, training programs, and other operational needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the NOC department, fostering innovation, efficiency gains, and best practices adoption through ongoing training, process enhancements, and technology upgrades.

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in managing operations within the telecommunications industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
