The Accounting Intern is part of the Finance department and reports to the Director of Finance. The Accounting Intern performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department. This position is part-time, hourly position with flexible hours, however a consistent schedule Monday through Friday is preferred. Additional hours available during the summer months, if desired. This internship is tailored to offer valuable work experience to high school or college students who are passionate about pursuing a degree in Accounting or are currently enrolled in related coursework.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Data entry using defined computer programs
  • Document distribution and retention
  • Verbal and written communication with customers, vendors and internal staff members
  • Responsible for inbound mail and distribution
  • Responsible for outbound mail: stuffing, stamping, and prepping
  • General administrative duties and support for the Accounting Department

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Experience in accounting related fields a plus
  •  Competency in Microsoft applications including Excel and Outlook
