Our networks use proprietary technology to examine each computer's network traffic for virus-like symptoms. If such symptoms are detected from a computer, the computer is quarantined — or kept separate — from the community's Internet connection.
We quarantine computers for a number of good reasons:
- Even a handful of infected computers can jeopardize network performance for everyone; therefore by quarantining virus-infected computers we maintain the performance of the network for the majority of users.
- Using quarantine to contain virus-infected computers insures your neighbors won't infect you and vice-versa.
- We believe we are in a key position to point users in quarantine to the proper software updates, offering added value to our customers.
How do I know if I have been quarantined?
When you connect to the Internet, you will see the following screen which will inform you not only that you have been quarantined, but also identify the likely cause of your quarantine.

Pavlov Media has written virus cleaning instructions, which guide you through the steps you would need to take to get your computer cleaned, protected, and connected to the Internet again. Print these out and follow them carefully. Once you've followed all the directions, you will want to fill out a quarantine release form and submit it to Pavlov Media's Technical Support Team. See the support topic on " Who do I contact to be released from quarantine?" for more information.
